Our client, a leading entertainment company, is hiring a Corporate Attorney on a contract basis.

Summary:
• Negotiate talent deals for talent, drafting agreements and other projects and handle production legal for all production, clear all materials for productions, and other divisional legal affairs.

Job Responsibilities:
1. Negotiates and drafts talent deals and agreements (including writers, directors, artists, consultants, etc.), option and acquisition agreements, studio facility agreements, commercial production agreements, and other agreements and amendments as required for television animation.
2. Handles production legal for animated television and long form productions.
3. Provides general oversight of legal aspects of recruiting and staffing for production needs.
4. Handles union and labor issues as they arise in conjunction with HR and Labor Relations.
5. Provides other related duties as assigned.

Qualification Requirements:
• Minimum 5 years work experience performing related job duties of this position.
• Bachelors Degree required.
• JD required.
• California Bar required

Knowledge/Skills:
• Negotiation skills required.
• Legal Drafting skills required.
• Knowledge of animation production process and thorough understanding of the SAG, IATSE 839 & IATSE 700 collective bargaining agreements preferred.

Preferred Requirements:
1) List needed soft skills such as;
2) Ability to communicate effectively and tactfully with managers, outside vendors, and other levels of personnel
3) Attention to detail.
4) Ability to organize and schedule work effectively, work well under time constraints, and handle multiple tasks.

Pay Range: $100- $120/hour
