Our client, a leading publishing company, is hiring an Enterprise Communications Engineer on a contract basis.

Summary:
Responsible to manage, coordinate, and execute efforts to remediate IT Rooms (IDFs and MDFs) throughout the client. Resource must collaborate with IT, site, and local staff and leadership on IT room remediations to ensure efforts are successful.

Responsibilities:
1. Coordinates, designs, and executes remediations within IDFs and MDFs throughout the health system relating to LVC, space, power, and cooling.
2. Conducts status meetings to resolve any issues and updates project plan accordingly.
3. Manages remediation project tasks within designated project management software and updates accordingly.
4. Recommends and implements cable plant infrastructure solutions, monitors project progress against schedule and resolves issues.
5. Assists in the selection of certified contractors, solicits bid responses and award, and mobilize teams for project execution.
6. Oversees and reviews all phases of the IT Room remediation ensuring installation and remediation of cabling conforms to design documentation. Ensures equipment, furniture, etc. is protected throughout construction.
7. Cleaning out IT rooms as needed to bring to standards.
8. Decommissioning and coordinating removal of legacy equipment from IT rooms.
9. Performs related duties, as required.

Required Qualifications:
1. Bachelor’s degree in technical field, required, AND a minimum of five (5) years experience IDF and MDF management, required OR High School Diploma or equivalent, required, AND a minimum of seven (7) years progressively responsible, IDF and MDF management required.
2. Experience in Low Voltage Cabling required.
3. Experience with managing external vendors, required.
4. Strong communication skills required.
5. Strong organizational skills required.
6. Experience with ServiceNow, preferred.

Pay Range: $65- $70/hour
