Our client, a leading financial services company is hiring a Kafka Infrastructure Engineer/Administrator on a long-term contract basis.

Summary:
This role involves L3 Production Support, Engineering, User Onboarding to Kafka, analyze and identify existing Production issues and recommending appropriate solutions.
Responsibilities:

  • Implement and use monitoring and observability tools, including splunk, grafana, AppDynamics, JMX, to ensure system health and performance is measured.
  • Identify problem causality, business impact and root causes
  • Document requirements for complex, high-impact application enhancements and problem resolution.
  • Identify risks, vulnerabilities, and security issues; communicate impact and propose risk mitigation options.
  • Utilizing ticketing tools such as JIRA, ServiceNow for issue tracking and collaboration.
  • Plan and execute existing Middleware Integrations to Kafka, with minimal disruption and optimal performance.

Required Skills:

  • Strong administrative, L3 and Engineering experience for Confluent Kafka and managing large-scale multi-region Kafka cluster environments.
  • Requires Confluent Kafka subject matter and hands-on administrative experience
  • Expertise in installing, administration, Production Support and maintaining Confluent Platform components including Apache Kafka and related tools.
  • Experience with Event Driven Architecture Components: Apache Kafka, Kafka Brokers, Zookeeper, etc.
  • expertise in scripting technologies such as SHELL or Python for software automation

Pay: $64-$81 per hour.
