Summary:
This position will work closely with internal stakeholders and Procurement leadership to lead IT Infrastructure sourcing projects across the client. This role will engage proactively with all internal stakeholders to support strategic priorities and drive business objectives, expense reduction initiatives as well as provide consultative support to resolve business challenges, and conduct data analysis that will be the basis for strategic decision making.
This role will champion development and execution of strategic sourcing with a goal of optimizing spend, mitigating risk, maximizing savings, assuring quality and delivery of products to the client. To ensure success as a strategic sourcing manager, you should demonstrate sound knowledge of negotiation strategies and extensive experience in a similar role. This position reports to the VP, IT and ITO Strategic Sourcing.

Primary Responsibilities
• Manage a cross functional team with full strategic sourcing cycle, including vendor identification and selection, price negotiation, and contract “red-lining” in collaboration with Legal counterparts for MSA’s, Schedules, SOW’s, etc.
• Responsible for development of strategic sourcing opportunities pipeline through the introduction of a competitive marketplace, demand management, supplier consolidation, and process reengineering
• Directly manage high value Sourcing engagements of varying spend, risk, and complexity levels into the following Sourcing categories: Mainframe technologies, Mainframe ISVs, Outsourced Data Center Operations Service Providers, Data Center technologies (Compute, Storage and Network), Telecom, Software and Services.
• Agree with business clients on approach and schedule for the sourcing project and its related contract(s) negotiations
• Communicate regularly with key business stakeholders regarding project approach, scope, key issues, status, business requirements, and relevant dependencies
• Assess savings opportunities on all engagements, and work with clients to achieve optimal
• Cost reductions/savings as appropriate

Additional Items for consideration
• Evaluating sourcing procedures and presenting improvement strategies to senior management for approval
• Analyzing and calculating procurement costs and developing cost reduction strategies
• Driving purchasing decisions based on cost and scenario analysis, as well as market trends
• Negotiating contracts with key suppliers (IBM, Kyndryl, HCL, Dell, HP, Lenovo, etc), including costs and terms of supply, service, and quality
• Collaborating with the procurement department to identify and pursue new supplier opportunities
• Conducting market research, as well as creating cost estimates and forecasts
• Estimating risks and applying risk minimizing techniques, as well as negotiating contracts that comply with industry regulations
• Maintaining strategic sourcing relationships and developing strong partnerships

Required Qualifications:
• Bachelor’s degree in business, economics, finance, logistics, or in a related field
• Minimum of 5 years’ procurement experience in a related industry
• Excellent organizational and time management skills.
• Strong process analysis and analytical skills including ability to use data to drive decision making
• Strong problem solving and troubleshooting skills with the ability to exercise mature judgment
• Proven ability to lead, motivate and gain commitment from Executive leadership, senior management, direct/indirect reports, and colleagues
• Exceptional ability to influence stakeholders and drive groups with divergent opinions toward effective, collaborative decisions
• Strong supplier relationship and conflict management skills
• Strong oral and written communications and influencing skills
• Ability to effectively summarize program status and create PowerPoint presentations for executive audience
• Able to navigate a global matrixed organization, influence stakeholders and affect outcomes. Ability to gain trust and influence with limited direct authority
• Ability to think outside the box, multi-task, and work well under pressure, to identify issues and work to resolve them in partnership with business leaders

Pay Rate: $72 /hour W2
