The Central Project Management Office (PMO) within the Marketing, Data & Operations organization, is a team that serves as the throughline (with the combination of Project and Program management) supporting the organization’s diverse functions and touch points (Domestic and International) and Pluto TV. We are at the cross-section of several functions, including (but not limited to) Consumer & Creative Marketing, Marketing Production, Content Strategy, Data & Insights group, Content, Business and Ad Operations, Podcasts, Marketing Acquisitions & Campaign Services, Audience Strategy & Search and more, all anchored around our subscription streaming service and Pluto TV, our ad-supported streaming service.
Role Details:
We are looking for an agile project manager/scrum master who will be a key embedded member of the Data and Insights Group (Measurement Operations and Data Engineering & Product teams). You are a solution provider, change-agent, expert of jugglers, and keeper of the agile process for your teams. With a passion for process, the candidate keeps their eyes on the delivery goal while coaching their teams and leading several distributed project teams from start to finish. This role is looking for a candidate who loves the Scrum Master role, embedded with multiple cross-functional scrum teams, and can make things happen! The candidate knows what it takes to manage complex projects, involving multiple stakeholders and a diverse team of collaborators.
Your day-to-day:
- Coach team members to ensure they understand Agile processes.
- Lead agile ceremonies (Daily Standup, Sprint planning, Backlog Grooming, Retrospective).
- Remove roadblock and keep teams focused on the objective of the sprints.
- Minimize exposure on projects by clearly communicating potential risks at every stage.
- Create and ensure completion of project documents that remain current and organized.
- Take ownership of project scope, risks and issues, driving them to resolution in a timely fashion.
- Manage Jira queue for multiple projects for Data and Insights group, shepherding team resources and effectively prioritizing.
- Build relationships with stakeholders across the DIG team and external organizations.
Required Skills:
- BA/ BS in Business, Communications, Engineering or related field required or equivalent experience. Technical background required.
- 1-2 years of experience in Agile Project Management, preferably in data intensive organization.
- 2+ years of experience working directly with engineering teams.
- Experience working with Agile product development methodologies.
- Must be able to guide team towards agreed upon scope and lead meetings effectively.
- Must be skilled at driving projects from inception to launch, including resource allocation, scheduling, risk management, and rollout and have a working knowledge of digital media.
- Experience managing projects across cross functional teams and coordinating release schedules.
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
- Self-motivated, creative, deadline enthusiastic, relentless about effective communication and delivering quality results required.
- The candidate must hold themselves accountable for the success of the project, drive prioritization, and manage change control effectively based on shifting priorities or urgent deadlines with optimal solutions.
- Passion for and knowledge of interactive technology and platforms required.
- Experience working with task management solutions (Jira, Confluence, Asana, @Task, ServiceNow.
Preferred Qualifications or (You might also have):
- Experience working in a media entertainment environment with multiple stakeholders and distributed teams.
- Experience building effective relationships to drive results.
- Certified ScrumMaster certification.

Pay Rate: $60 – $75/ hr.
