Our client, a leading software company is hiring a Technical Project Manager

Work Location: Remote (in PA, AZ, WA, IL, MA, GA, NC, CO, TN, TX, VA, FL) 

Summary of Duties & Responsibilities
We are in search of an experienced Senior Technical Project Manager (STPM) with a robust background in full life cycle software development, cloud-based SaaS product development, coupled with expertise in big data and analytics.

The primary responsibility of the STPM is to develop, maintain and deliver software solutions via a software delivery project plan, encompassing risks/issues, tasks, milestones, status, and resource allocation for the client’s stakeholders. The focus is on delivering Analytics or AI/ML commercial products.

We are seeking a STPM candidate that align to our four (4)  competencies:

Domain Knowledge

  • Architectural expertise in the Microsoft Azure Big Data environment.
  • Exhibits an in-depth understanding of advanced project management principles, including strategic alignment, stakeholder engagement, and benefits realization.
  • Demonstrates expertise in enterprise-level risk management, proactively identifying, evaluating, and mitigating risks that could impact large-scale projects.?
  • Leads the standardization and optimization of project management templates and software tools across the project portfolio, ensuring seamless coordination, resource allocation, and consistent workflows across multiple projects.?
  • Maintains meticulous and real-time project documentation for complex initiatives, ensuring that all project changes, decisions, and outcomes are meticulously recorded and communicated?.
  • Takes a leadership role in upholding governance frameworks and policies, playing a key part in seeking approvals, compliance, and adherence to established protocols. ?


  • Efficiently manages project resources, optimizing personnel, budget, and materials allocation to drive successful project outcomes.?
  • Vigilantly monitors project progress against predefined benchmarks, ensuring meticulous tracking and timely execution?.
  • Proactively identifies and swiftly addresses execution deviations or obstacles, implementing corrective actions to maintain project alignment.?
  • Fosters a collaborative and communicative team environment, facilitating seamless information flow and collective problem-solving during project execution.?
  • Emphasizes adaptability and agility throughout execution, adeptly adjusting strategies to accommodate unforeseen changes while staying focused on achieving project objectives.

Skills & Competencies

Need Solid to Advanced abilities for the below: 

  • Microsoft Azure Big Data environment architecture.
  • Agile methodologies (Scrum and/or Kanban).
  • Leadership and team management.
  • Communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Problem-solving and decision-making.
  • Operating with minimal supervision while keeping leadership informed.
  • Adaptability to changing priorities and delivering under tight deadlines.
  • Programming languages (Python, Java, or C#) for ERP software development.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office/PowerPoint and experience using JIRA/Azure Dev Ops
  • Delivering complex distributed systems (ERP, Custom-Built, Business Intelligence) in a Software-as-a-Service (SaaS) environment.

Education or Prior Work Experience

  • Bachelor’s degree in computer science, Engineering, or a related technical field.
  • Advanced degree preferred.
  • Proven experience (10+ years) in technical project management, specifically in software development and software delivery/implementation or in a management consulting capacity at a consulting firm.
  • Project management certifications, such as PMP or Agile certifications.
  • Architectural knowledge of the Microsoft Azure Big Data environment, including the delivery of Analytics and AI/ML commercial products.

Reports to: Director of Project Management              
Some travel may be required, but not extensive.

Classification: Exempt
Work Environment: This job operates in a professional office environment. This role routinely uses standard office equipment such as computers, phones, photocopiers, filing cabinets and fax machines.
