Education/Experience:
- 5 years experience leading technical product deliveries in the biotechnology or pharmaceutical industry and minimum of a bachelors degree in a Biologic, Physical and/or Computer Science discipline.
- High degree of familiarity with current software engineering methodologies, source code control, project management, and issue tracking best practices.
- Proven experience as a Technical Project Manager in a scientific research environment.
- Demonstrated experience leading technical teams in the delivery of scientific data discovery, retrieval, analysis, and/or visualization projects.
- Strong project management skills with a track record of delivering complex projects on time and within budget.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to work effectively with diverse teams and stakeholders.
- Preference for technical experience in querying and visualizing scientific data using solutions such as R/Python Shiny, Streamlit, and/or web applications developed using React, Vue.js, etc. and/or software development proficiency with at least one programming language like Python, R, Java, etc.
- Preference for hands-on experience with developing and deploying cloud-based solutions in AWS and/or Azure.
- Preference for experience with LLM development and agent frameworks, and models.
Responsibilities:
- Assist workstream leads in developing detailed technical delivery plans, resource planning, outlining duties of team members, identifying project goals, and setting project timelines.
- Monitor workstream progress to ensure that workstreams meet program objectives, incorporate stakeholder contributions (e.g., use case and feedback tracking), and develop technical solutions according to plan.
- Ensure that technical artifacts (source code, test plans, architecture documentation, progress toward addressing use cases, etc.) are updated in an appropriate and timely manner.
- Monitor and provide guidance on adhering to consistent software development life cycle (SDLC) processes.
- Coordinate with external vendors, as required, to assist in the evaluation and/or integration of external technology solutions.
- Work closely with Program and Technical leads to define and evolve program data governance, including operational guidelines & procedures.
- Guide and assist workstreams in providing end user support for workstream deliverables.
- Guide and assist workstreams in testing workstream deliverables according to test plans.
