Summary:
This role will focus on designing, developing, and maintaining reports, dashboards, and other analytics solutions using Epic Cogito tools to support data-driven decision-making across the organization. The ideal candidate possesses a strong analytical background, extensive experience with Epic Clarity/Caboodle data models, and a proven track record of delivering high-quality BI solutions within healthcare settings.
Responsibilities:

  • Gather and analyze reporting requirements from various stakeholders across the company.
  • Design, develop, and test reports, dashboards, and visualizations using Epic Cogito tools (Reporting Workbench, Radar, SlicerDicer, Metrics).
  • Write complex SQL queries to extract data from Epic Clarity and Caboodle data models.
  • Collaborate with Epic application teams and other analytics teams to ensure data integrity and consistency.
  • Troubleshoot and resolve issues related to Epic reports and reporting tools.
  • Develop and maintain documentation for reports and dashboards.
  • Stay current with the latest Epic Cogito features and functionalities.
  • Mentor and train other team members on Epic Cogito reporting.
  • Contribute to the overall success of the Epic transformation project.

Required Skills:

  • Epic Cogito certification(s) or Proficiency (Cogito Tools Administration, Cogito Fundamentals, Clarity, Caboodle, etc.) is required for the role.
  • Extensive experience with Epic Clarity and Caboodle data models, including certification.
  • Experience in working with clinical data within the Epic environment.
  • 3+ years of experience in healthcare IT, analytics, or data management.
  • 5+ years of experience developing reports and dashboards using BI tools (e.g., Tableau, Cogito, Power BI).
  • Strong SQL development skills.
  • Excellent communication, collaboration, and problem-solving skills.
  • Ability to work independently and manage multiple projects simultaneously.

Preferred Skills:

  • Experience with data warehousing and data modeling concepts.
  • Experience with data visualization best practices.
  • Knowledge of healthcare industry data standards and regulations.
  • Experience working in a large, complex healthcare organization.

Education:
Bachelor’s degree in computer science, Information Systems, or a related field is preferred.

Pay: $70-$72.50 per hour.
