Summary:
We are seeking a detail-oriented Data Analyst to support data governance, data quality, and reporting initiatives within financial services and payments platforms. The role combines strong technical skills (SQL, data governance, data profiling) with business acumen and compliance awareness. The ideal candidate will have strong skills in SQL, data governance practices, and data profiling, with the ability to ensure high standards of data accuracy, lineage, and reliability. The role will collaborate closely with cross-functional teams to provide insights, improve data quality, and support enterprise data initiatives.
Responsibilities:
- Apply strong data analysis and governance practices to ensure integrity, lineage and quality across enterprise data.
- Perform data profiling, validation, and impact assessments to maintain accuracy and compliance with regulatory standards.
- Design and implement SQL queries for reporting, analysis, and data validation,
- Collaborate with business and technical stakeholders to define data requirements and standards.
- Support documentation of data dictionaries, metadata, and lineage tracking.
- Provide insights to improve decision-making through data-driven analysis.
- Work with development and project management teams using Agile tools (Jira, Bitbucket).
- Contribute to process improvement and automation of data quality checks.

Required Skills:
- Experience: 2-4+ years in a data analyst, data governance, or similar role.
- Strong knowledge of data governance, lineage, and profiling methodologies.
- Proficiency in SQL for data analysis and validation.
- Understanding of metadata management and master data principles.
- Experience with Agile delivery practices; Jira/Bitbucket exposure preferred.
- Strong problem solving, analytical, and communication skills.
- Strong analytical and problem-solving mindset.
- High attention to detail and accuracy.
- Ability to communicate complex data concepts to non-technical audiences.

Pay: $38-$47 per hour.
